Baseball Swing Coaching Site Supports Olympic Baseball & Softball

Carlsbad, CA (PRWEB) August 2, 2008 -- The baseball and softball community is rallying around Olympic baseball and softball teams since news came out that the Beijing games were to be their last (for now at least). SwingCoaching.com, which specializes in baseball swing training advice and product recommendations, is announcing their support for the reinstatement of these games to the Olympics.

The International Olympic Committee voted back in 2005 to drop softball and baseball from the Summer Games after Beijing, but they will be eligible for reinstatement in 2016. The team at SwingCoaching.com supports both sports' bids to have the International Olympic Committee reinstate that decision. Well over 100 countries participate in each of these sports in the Olympics, and the baseball swing coaching site feels the international community will experience a great loss as a result of the IOC decision.

Olympic baseball may not be something that every young baseball player dreams of playing (Major League Baseball is usually the pinnacle), but it is hugely popular in countries like Cuba that do not have their own World Series. And without a professional softball team in the United States, having this sport taken out of the Olympic Games will make a major impact on the female players around the world.
